There is a strong buzz among Shahid Kapoor's closest friends that he intends to quit his short-lived tenure as a judge in the dance contest Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa (JDJ).

Shahid Kapoor and Lauren Gottlieb had come on board to replace Remo D'Souza, as this time the organizers wanted to bring in experts who understood the craft of dancing.

Now there are rumours, denied stoutly by channel sources, that Shahid intends to quit JDJ at this nascent stage of his association with the show.

"He wants to spend time with his new wife Mira", says a close friend. "Isn't that quite natural? The two have undergone a flash courtship and marriage and are only now getting to know one another. Shahid wants some time off before he plunges into his professional commitments."

The channel Colors in the meanwhile, is said to be frantically wooing Shahid Kapoor to stay back.
